Overview

The Rewst platform contains a "Crate Marketplace" where customers can clone pre-created workflows, scripts, forms, and templates into their environment for usage. This is a quick way to get initial return on the platform, and crates available range from internal Rewst actions to actions taken on other integrations such as Microsoft 365, PSAs, RMMs, etc.

Crate Best Practices

1. Search Crates before building

  • Don't duplicate work! Before starting a new workflow, search the Crate Marketplace first to see if it already exists.
  • Even if the exact task is not found, there may be one that performs other relevant actions that can be adapted to still save work.

2. Keep crates synchronized

  • When a crate is cloned into Rewst, it will be Synchronized with any changes by the Rewst ROC team.
  • This synchronization should be kept enabled on all cloned workflows to ensure they receive any feature/security updates automatically.

3. Clone crate workflows to edit

  • If you need to edit a cloned crate workflow, do not unsync and change the original clone. Instead, clone the crate saved into your environment to allow for editing on an unsynchronized workflow.
  • If the original cloned crate is no longer needed, remove it from your workflows.

4. Periodically review and cleanup crates

  • Periodically review the Crate Marketplace for new crates, and the crates you have synced into your environment.
  • If a synced crate is no longer needed, it should be removed from the workflows list.
